After a designing period of only 16 months the erection of the first wind energy converter developed by CATUM has begun. Now the prototype has successfully been put into operation in Gansu province in China.
The aim of the project was the construction of an efficient, long-lasting and reliable wind energy converter, fitted to the particular needs of the customer: the generator manufacturer Lanzhou Electric Corporation (LEC).
The project also included accompanying supplier qualification, implementation of serial production methods as well as the introduction of a quality system for the supply chain management and assembly.
