Lanzhou Electric Corporation Operates Wind Energy Converters Designed by CATUM Engineering GmbH CATUM has completed its pilot project for the Lanzhou Electric Corporation. The Luebeck based wind energy converter designers have successfully finished the certification of the unit. The project included conception, design and construction supervision of a 2 MW wind energy converter with a 93 m rotor - from the foundation to the blade tip. In the meantime, LEC can look back on one year of operational experience with two prototypes. After an initial phase in which CATUM supported LEC, they are now well trained to independently running and maintaining the units. The performance and availability data exceed the expectations of both parties. The high grid compatibility and stability of the unit as well as a high degree of customer support, exceeding the regular scope of delivery, speaks for the service and performance of CATUM's engineers and also reflects the competence of the company. The video is showing the normal operating state of the CA 2.0 MW-WD wind energy converter.
